Stantec's Tim Lines, Regional Leader for the Desert and Mountain Regions, represented our firm as part of a high-level delegation of business leaders who joined Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano on a recent trip to Mexico City to meet with Mexican President Felipe Calderon, Mexican Attorney General Eduardo Medina-Mora , and U.S. Ambassador to Mexico Tony Garza.
Tim was joined by executives from a number of leading companies and universities, including Qwest, Fulton Homes, Motorola, SRP, and US Airways. The meetings, held from February 8-10, focused on potential and current construction projects at the Arizona/Mexican border.
Stantec was asked to participate because of our position as one of the largest engineering firms in the state, employing more than 300 people in offices in Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff, our current Nogales International Wastewater Treatment Plant project, a unique cross-border public infrastructure initiative and our active involvement with the local business community, including the Arizona Department of Commerce.
