Stantec’s Louisville team has big takeaways from Mayor’s Give a Day

Give a Day coincides with Earth Week, and we thought there was no better way to take care of the Earth than by keeping it clean!

Our focus is on connecting with and improving the communities we work, live, and play in. That’s why we joined forces for the fourth year in a row with the Louisville/Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) to pick up trash as part of the Louisville Mayor’s Give a Day week of service.

What is Give a Day? It’s an opportunity for the people of Louisville to donate—whether that’s their time, blood, or food—and do something good for their community. It was organized by Mayor Greg Fisher in 2011 to make the city healthier, happier, and more connected.

Over the course of two days, six Stantec employees and 56 MSD employees removed several hundred pounds of trash along a stretch of Beargrass Creek, a prominent Louisville waterway.
