When the flood hit downtown Calgary, many buildings providing key public services filled with water, including Old City Hall, the City of Calgary Admin Building, the Trade Centre, and EMS Station No. 3. They had to get back up and running as soon as possible, and needed immediate architectural, structural, and mechanical assessments.
Two teams of four donned masks and safety equipment before wading through the floodwater and debris to provide detailed reports for all sites within two weeks,
Based on the assessments, reconstruction quickly got underway, and today, all four sites are once again providing Calgarians with essential services.
