In June 2013, golfers from across Calgary had been braving the rainy weather on the city’s many public courses. Two of those courses fell victim to floodwaters.
When the floodwater drained away, the pump houses that supply the irrigation systems at Shaganappi and Maple Ridge golf courses were out of commission. As part of our existing Master Service Agreement with the City, we reported on the pumps both structurally and mechanically, cleaned out debris, and got the systems back up and running to keep the courses in top shape for the rest of the summer.
As part of the same agreement, we also assessed the 100-year-old foundations of the Pumphouse Theatre to make sure it was safe to continue hosting events.
One year later, the two courses are back challenging golfers, and the theatre continues to be one of Calgary’s entertainment hot spots.
