Tariq is a mechanical engineer who has been with Stantec since 2005. Through his project experience, he has gained extensive knowledge and experience working on new and existing healthcare and education facilities. He has had success in the design, construction administration, and commissioning of low energy systems consisting of heat pumps, heat recovery systems, geothermal fields, displacement ventilation, chilled beams and radiant panels. Most notably, Tariq was the lead mechanical designer for the new 250,000 sq. ft. Kelowna General Hospital Project, which opened in 2012.
As Governor with the ASHRAE BC Chapter, Member of the Energy Efficiency in Buildings Workgroup of North Vancouver, Chair of the Stantec Innovation Committee and mentor for students in Mechanical Design Courses at BCIT, Tariq is an active volunteer in the Buildings Engineering Industry.
Tariq is a LEED® Accredited Professional and is passionate about sustainable principles.
