Kendra has a thorough knowledge of ecological science, vegetation management, and the field techniques used to assess baseline conditions for permitting, developing operational vegetation management and reclamation plans, and conducting operational field programs. As a vegetation ecologist and reclamation specialist, she has over 10 years of experience in vegetation management.
For the past three years, much of Kendra’s ecosystem knowledge has been put to use developing vegetation prescriptions and predicting post-closure ecosystem units for the mining and oil and gas industries.
Recently, Kendra has been working on reclamation programs for surface coal exploration sites in northeastern BC. These programs include revegetation prescriptions, sediment and erosion control monitoring and implementation, and linear access blocking assessment. When she’s not at work, Kendra likes to kitesurf, camp, and spend time with her family.
