Bridges succeed not just as transportation, but as a metaphor for connecting things and for building what we most aspire to. So they should be beautiful.

Brian Brenner

Boston, Massachusetts

As the manager of one of our bridge engineer groups, Brian calls on over 31 years of experience as a structural engineer and project manager on railroad and highway projects. When he’s not leading the team, he may be working on structural engineering analyses, design reviews, or marketing initiatives.

Most recently Brian served as the design manager for the Kenneth F. Burns Memorial Bridge over Lake Quinsigamond, connecting the communities of Shrewsbury and Worcester in Massachusetts.

Brian has a passion for the conceptual design and aesthetics of bridges, and he shares that through mentorship and formal instruction. Outside of work, Brian is an educator at Tufts University, teaching bridge and concrete design courses. In his free time he writes (both essays and fiction), bikes, and enjoys exploring New England with his wife and kids.
