To keep pace with changing technology, an engineer needs to supplement education and experience with the ability to assemble reliable resources.

Michael Claypoole

Senior Electrical Engineer

Scarborough, Maine

As a senior electrical engineer and lighting designer with over 25 years of experience, Michael has specialized in some diverse areas. He’s worked on architectural lighting, commercial design, aviation fuels bulk storage and power distribution, and more. This has included projects for the Navy, Air Force, and Army Corps of Engineers.

Recently, Michael has worked on three airport projects for Barnes Airport in Westfield, Massachusetts: a quality inspection of ANG apron lighting, a power vault replacement project, and repairs to the helicopter apron lighting and power for a temporary helicopter shelter.

Michael says that one of the best things a starting engineer can find is a mentor who is a good and patient teacher. Outside of work, Michael enjoys tennis, photography, and spending time watching a good movie.
