Eric is a principal engineer with over 40 years of experience in water resources engineering, storm drainage and flood management, reservoir operations, and computer modeling of hydrology, storm drainage, reservoir operations, and open-channel hydraulics. He’s experienced with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, InfoWorks, and many other hydraulic and hydrologic programs.
For five years, Eric has worked as the technical lead for the Central Valley Flood Management Program. The result? A first-of-its-kind flood protection plan. Thanks to Eric and his team’s work on this program, the State of California has both a clear understanding of their flood risk throughout the Sacramento and San Joaquin river valleys as well as solutions for preventing potential disasters.
When he isn’t working on hydrologic or water resource projects throughout the US, Eric is spending time with his children and grandchildren. He’s active in his church and community, and he’s been on the Floodplain Management Association’s board of directors for 25 years—two of them as chair of the association.
