Our projects improve the lives of residents in communities across North America – that’s why I became an engineer.

Adrien Comeau

Principal, Water

Ottawa, Ontario

Adrien is our wet weather flow leader. He solves the problem of too much water going to the wrong places. He specializes in the area of wet weather flow management for municipal sewer systems with particular emphasis on sanitary sewer overflow, combined sewer overflow, and extraneous flow control.

Adrien was the project manager for our Sandy Hill Flood Control Project in Ottawa, which solved chronic surface and basement flooding in one of the city’s most historic neighborhoods with a creative stacked storage solution. He was also the project manager for the City of Ottawa Combined Sewer System Regulator Upgrades and Real Time Control Implementation Program. Resulting in a 60%-70% decrease in combined sewer overflows by making better use of existing infrastructure, this project has proven to be a key component in the city’s Ottawa River Action Plan, a program designed to improve water quality and the life for the citizens of Ottawa and downstream water users.
