Learning and helping people are the two most rewarding by-products of any job—if you’re lucky enough to experience both at work. Just ask Yves, a senior geotechnical engineer with 18 years of experience. As an engineer and project manager, he’s been involved on a variety of projects in various sectors, including all levels of government, oil and gas, industrial, mining, transportation, and land development.
Over the years, Yves has worked on various projects across Canada. The most rewarding projects engage several disciplines, allowing him to always be learning and working with different internal groups. What motivates Yves most is helping people. When he’s not helping his team, he’s helping his family—in soccer, baseball, dance, or homework. In his own spare time, he enjoys taking in his hobby of bicycling. He cycles approximately 4,000 kilometres a year and takes part in the annual MS Bike Tour.
