Sometimes in life you end up doing what you love to do, without even trying. Keith is one of those lucky people who is an electrical engineer and can’t imagine doing anything else. After nine years as a Journeyman electrician, Keith realized that he wanted to design what he installed. He set off to do just that and now is a highly regarded professional in the field.
Keith still enjoys working on construction projects, but today he plays with the big toys of electricity: transmission lines, wind turbines, control systems, and regional power flow studies. He is also the lead professional in the US to work with Siemens PTI PSS™E software. Keith enjoys the challenge of conducting PSS™E interconnect studies for wind farms, arc flash studies for safety, taking the design of a greenfield paper mill from concept to start-up and operation, and interfacing with utility operators ensuring that the design he provides is done correctly, operates efficiently, and hums with electricity.
