No two days are the same when you work in program and project management. While the overall processes of delivering a project remain the same, the challenges and issues that arise in each project are what still make Quinton excited to come to work after 40 years in the industry. He finds fulfillment in being able to provide innovative and creative solutions that do what’s right for his clients’ projects.
Quinton finds it especially rewarding when he’s involved in projects that help his community thrive. One of his most memorable project experiences is the Western Canada High School Modernization. Delivered over three years, the project provided the Calgary Board of Education with an additional $7M in building value while ensuring there were no health or safety issues. The modernized school also enhanced the education of Calgary’s students, an investment in the future of our community—helping make Calgary a better place to live.
When he’s not managing projects, Quinton enjoys going for walks with his wife and dog in his community’s environmental reserve. He’s also an avid traveler who takes frequent trips to Mexico, though he names, Istanbul, Venice, and Barcelona as his favourite places to visit. Despite all his travels, he considers his hometown of Calgary, AB to be the greatest place he’s ever been.
