Take up surveying and you can see the world. Dave has surveyed in the most exotic places from Africa to the Middle East to right here in Southern Arizona. Starting his journey from London, England, after university, where he studied geography and minored in surveying, a professor inspired Dave and the rest can be seen as stamps in his passport.
The foundation of all successful projects lies with accurate mapping or other survey and geometric data. Surveyors are involved throughout the whole life-cycle of a project, from land acquisition to feasibility studies to design, to construction to final project close out. Dave is so dedicated to his craft that he has hacked through the jungles of Nigeria in Africa, at the mouth of Escravos River (four hours by boat from civilization), for a dredging project. He has also surveyed the Thames River bank in London for the Millennium Eye. The passion to survey is Dave’s call of the wild, even in the tamest housing development down the road.
