Charles has over 16 years of experience with varied National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) projects and over 20 years of experience as a wildlife biologist. He enjoys spending his free time with his family and recreating in the outdoors. He enjoys hiking, fishing and hunting, birding, and more recently learning the fine art of brewing beer.
Having spent many years studying owls in Colorado for the USDA Rocky Mountain Experimental Station, he still enjoys night hikes and eliciting responses from various owl species. And when he isn’t consulting on mining or linear infrastructure projects throughout the west, you can usually find Charles enjoying the great outdoors at his Sleepy Owl Ranch in northern Colorado.
