Kurt has a wealth of consulting engineering experience. His favorite responsibilities include managing the planning, design, and construction of municipal water and wastewater facilities. Kurt is also experienced in hydraulic evaluation, and well known for his understanding and design of large-diameter water wells. He has evaluated, designed and provided construction engineering services for many water treatment facilities for many clients.
Kurt is an advocate of providing clients with a clear understanding of their system’s deficiencies and particularly motivated to, together with his clients, identify cost effective remedies. One of Kurt’s most rewarding projects at Stantec was the Hastings, Minnesota Nitrate Removal Water Treatment Plant. This project was rewarding due to its uniqueness and process engineering design of anionic exchange and challenging construction. In his free time, Kurt enjoys time with family, farming and being outdoors at his northern Minnesota acreage.
