Throughout the week, Melinda often travels for education project work, and on the weekends she enjoys gardening or running on Strubel Trail. Leading Philadelphia’s engineering department provides Melinda with opportunities to design mechanical systems for higher education and healthcare facilities, and guide in-house MEP teams through some of Stantec’s most complex projects. She’s active in all of her project pursuits, from cost and proposal preparation to the punch list at project completion.
Sustainability and efficiency lie at the heart of Melinda’s engineering designs. She creates systems that respect budgets while remaining mindful of long-term impacts on both the facility and the surrounding environment. She believes that the most effective systems balance operations and demands. Binghamton University’s $300M East Campus Housing Project is a great example of Melinda’s work, and she takes pride in knowing that her team provided sound solutions for such a large, complex project.
