One of the most intriguing things about transmission line projects is the variety of design we get to explore.

Chris Kasiewicz

Portland, Oregon

Chris is responsible for growing our Power Transmission and Distribution subsector in the western US. Focusing on utilities, he’s developed key accounts including Pacific Gas & Electronic, Sacramento Municipal Utility District, and Portland General Electric.

With a background in high voltage and extra high voltage transmission line design (between 69kV and 500kV), he’s designed lines using wood, steel, and lattice structures, traversing all types of terrain. Recently, Chris has been working to develop better West Coast awareness of our Stantec Utility T&D services. “There are still a lot of utilities out there that aren’t familiar with who we are or what we do—I aim to change that.”

Known to run a 5k here and there, Chris mostly spends his free time with family and friends. He likes hiking and fishing, and he’s been playing guitar since elementary school. Although it’s not as easy to find time to play these days, he still manages to rattle the windows every now and then.
