As a young, spirited designer, Susan quickly developed in the hospitality and residential design sector. With her passion for developing and maintaining relationships—and her focus on implementing strong design—Susan swiftly took on leadership roles. These days, as a principal and mentor, she helps establish an office-wide vision and a collaborative environment among multiple offices and disciplines.
Susan believes that being aware of your environment and inspiration in everyday life is one of the best ways to develop specific design elements—and an important part of being a designer. For example, every year she attends Art Basel, where she has the opportunity to meet many talented artists. One recently built project in Miami incorporates one of those artists’ beautiful works of art, a piece that inspired the whole interior design concept of the building as well as the name, Eve at the District
Outside of work, Susan spends quality time with her husband, family, and friends. Traveling is a big passion of Susan’s, which helps her learn about herself as a designer as she seeks inspiration in different communities and environments around the world. When she isn’t traveling, Susan might be cycling, boating, exploring Miami’s rich culture, or curling up with a glass of wine and a good book.
