Pragmatic as James is, his first career choice wasn’t an engineer—it was architect. James’ role model has always been his architect father. However, along his career, he discovered that his passion is in methodical things, which drew him into the world of engineering.
As a principal in the buildings group, James has over fifteen years of experience as a senior mechanical engineer and certified project manager. With experience in the commercial, corporate, retail, and mixed use sectors, he manages projects from inception to post-completion and is involved in every phase of the project.
James is also the engineering discipline leader in British Columbia, responsible for the quality and innovation of the work undertaken by the various disciplines in the province. That responsibility includes adherence to professional standards and quality assurance best practices, health and safety, research and development, and attracting top technical expertise.
