Growing up on a beautiful Brazilian island, surrounded by picturesque beaches and stunning mountains, it’s no wonder that Márcia was inspired to become an architect. Having worked for over 20 years in the field, she’s become well-versed in workplace, commercial mixed-use, and high-end residential designs. She enjoys using her trilingual skills in English, Spanish, and Portuguese when it comes to international projects.
Márcia is currently the senior project coordinator for the 210 Joralemon St. Courts project—a $4.4 million renovation for this legal facility in Brooklyn, New York. She coordinates consultants and manages her team, both on design details and more technical features. She’s taken the opportunity to share her expertise with the next generation of architects—both instilling knowledge and learning from these junior professionals.
A runner for a cause, Márcia likes to participate in 5Ks or take a well-deserved rest day on the couch: crocheting, knitting, and sewing.
