California water is as varied as the state itself, and Paul has worked in nearly every aspect of California water. Early on, as a regulator in water quality and funding for the Regional Water Board, Paul worked in many Central Valley Counties and in various industries.
After ten years of regulatory experience, Paul began policy-level planning in the areas of water quality, habitat-water coordination, and water supply. He’s managed elements in large planning projects, such as the Bay Delta Conservation Plan, the Central Valley Flood Protection Plan, and the Emergency Drought Barrier of 2015.
After 28 years working closely with local, state, and federal agencies, with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, legislature, and congress, Paul has built a varied and unique portfolio of experience. When he isn’t working on the water issues of his community, he might be cycling through wine country.
