Passionate about building mechanics, Jean has more than 20 years’ experience in the sub-disciplines of automatic control, ventilation, and energy efficiency within the institutional, commercial, and industrial sectors. Striving to work in the most personalized and adapted way possible, he considers the client as a partner first and foremost.
Among his many achievements, Jean participated in the construction project for the new Université de Sherbrooke campus in Longueuil, the re-development of the McIntyre Building of McGill University, and the expansion of the École St-Johns school in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Each of these projects won an ASHRAE award of excellence, one of the most prestigious international prizes recognizing electromechanical system performance. Jean has also contributed his skills to managing complex projects, among which the decontamination and rehabilitation project at the Honoré-Mercier Hospital Centre, where 300 patients needed to be relocated during construction.
Jean sees significant expansion of technologies related to smart buildings, which will be able to detect and transmit real-time information to property managers.
Jean shares his knowledge and extensive experience with the next generation of engineers at the Centre de formation continue des professionnels de la construction (CFCPC), a continuing education centre for construction professionals.
