As executive vice president and business operating unit leader (BOUL) for Energy & Resources, Kirk manages our Oil & Gas, Mining, and Power business lines.
With more than 30 years of industry experience, Kirk is focused on enhancing Stantec’s reputation in upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas. His career has progressed from the design, construction, and management of a variety of oil and gas, infrastructure and environmental projects to his current executive, strategic planning, and management responsibilities.
Kirk believes in an approach that puts people, clients, and community first. He is committed to trusted client relationships and demonstrates excellence in safety and quality throughout the design, construction, and operations phases of projects such as the Keystone Pipeline in 2010, a critical piece of North American energy infrastructure.
Holding a bachelor of applied sciences in civil engineering from the University of Waterloo and a master of applied science sciences in civil engineering from the University of British Columbia, Kirk has also completed the Directors of Education Program from the Institute of Corporate Directors in Calgary, Alberta.
