Katrina has worked on a broad range of planning projects including comprehensive plans, brownfield redevelopment plans, AUARs, and other studies. She’s especially excited about brownfield redevelopment planning because it presents the opportunity to improve environmental quality and community vitality. Katrina believes the most important challenge of this work is improving opportunities for jobs, housing, and health while creating an authentic, community-driven plan.
In her spare time, Katrina volunteers with the ACE Mentorship Program as a lead mentor. By sharing her experience as a planner, she hopes to engage students and break down systemic barriers that have prevented young women and students of color from entering the design and engineering profession. Katrina also enjoys riding her bike around Minneapolis’ Grand Rounds and having picnics in the parks.
