John leads the building/repositioning and commercial architecture market for Stantec in Washington, DC. His job is to identify project leads through network contacts and market intel, and then work with our marketing team to write and submit proposals. After that, John often acts as senior project manager, refining and monitoring project budget, schedule, and deliverables from start to finish.
Recently, on the 25 Massachusetts Avenue project, John and team developed design concepts for repositioning the building to retain clients and to attract more varied future tenants: such as corporate, association, and technology firms. This project will include transformative public area improvements including a new building main entrance, a holistic main lobby renovation, and new tenant amenities, including a street-level tenant lounge and conference center. The center will lead out to the exterior courtyard, which is also being renovated and upgraded as part of this project.
When John isn’t working to keep our projects running smoothly, he might be out on his bike, hiking with his dog, or visiting DC’s many art museums. He keeps up with a variety of interests including world travel, history, skiing, tennis, photography, writing, and reading.
