According to Mary Jane, being a well-rounded engineer takes experience, specifically the kind that comes from putting on different hats. By following her own advice and never turning down different projects, Mary Jane has built a balanced career full of diverse experience.
That experience includes management of projects, clients and teams, technical design and guidance, budgeting, and business development. Her experience on projects includes design and management of large and small mixed-retail developments, single- and multi-family developments, and public works. One example of her work is the Seeling Channel Improvements in the City of San Antonio where she helped to mitigate flooding. What makes her day most enjoyable is working with clients and seeing the dynamic collaboration between team members.
After a busy day of wearing multiple hats, Mary Jane likes to go wakeboarding with her family on the lake.
