I’m always looking for ways to support people—utilizing their unique abilities, talent, and potential in achieving goals.

Denise Pothier

Vice President, Practice Services and Vice President, Aboriginal Relations

Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

Denise is passionate about quality, professional practice, keeping people safe, and the protection of the environment. It’s a natural fit that her current role is managing, monitoring, and reporting on the company’s quality, health and safety, and environmental performance. She’s committed to continuously improving our practices and project management tools so that our people can be the best that they can be—giving our clients the full value of our experience.

An essential part of the Integrated Management System since it was first introduced, Denise hopes that her legacy will be a world-class system that supports Stantec and its culture of quality, health, safety, and sustainability well into the future. Denise is equally proud to have been part of Stantec’s diversity and inclusion initiative since it was first introduced, and as vice president Aboriginal Relations she will continue to build on our existing relationships with Aboriginal communities and businesses.

Outside of work, Denise and her daughter spend quality time giving back to the community. They volunteer for Feed Nova Scotia, and they’re involved with the Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre initiatives. Denise is also on the board of directors for Techsploration, an organization that introduces non-traditional careers to junior high girls, and is the vice-chair for the Women in Engineering committee for Engineers NS.
