Shai is a municipal planner with two decades of experience helping cities create and implement comprehensive plans and development regulations. She understands the impact that urban planning can have on a community and is dedicated to helping cities align their land use strategies and development regulations with their long-range vision.
Shai believes developing solutions based on strategic foresight and public engagement rather than a projection of past and present conditions. As municipal planning manager, she leads each project as a seamless extension of municipal staff, offering a flexible and responsive approach to complex future growth and land development challenges.
An imaginative but realistic and results-oriented professional, Shai finds great reward in helping communities prepare for a big future. In addition, she teaches graduate level courses at the University of Texas at Arlington School of Urban and Public Affairs, aiming to inspire the next generation of city planners and land developers.
