The foundation of Matt’s growth as an architect is the constant desire to refine and improve. His drive to understand how and why someone or something operates leads him to believe in architecture that is responsive and embraced by the community it serves.
As architecture defines the built environment in which we live, it influences our experiences, perceptions, and the navigation of our everyday lives. Projects, while needing to be measured individually as a success, also need to positively contribute to the public realm. Matt’s ability to see the big picture feeds his enthusiasm for his projects on both the macro and micro scale.
A LEED-certified architect, Matt has flourished in heading interdisciplinary teams, designing everything from highrise office towers to assisted living facilities to pedestrian bridges.
As a proponent of urban architecture, Matt can see the day when every new building will need to serve multiple purposes and blend seamlessly into its surroundings. When it arrives, he’ll be well prepared for it.
