Having completed planning and design exercises on over 200 individual roundabouts across Canada, Clayton has become a nationally recognized expert in roundabout engineering and infuses his practice with road safety and human factors engineering.
He’s researched, developed, and published methods that expand the core concepts of the Highway Safety Manual and was the lead editor of the safety content of the upcoming Canadian Roundabout Design Guide for the Transportation Association of Canada (TAC).
In addition to his research and project work, Clayton is an active member on several national technical committees through TAC including the Joint Roundabout Subcommittee and the Road Safety Standing Committee. He also sits on the Road Safety Committee of Ontario.
Outside of work, Clayton is an avid bicycle commuter and a songwriter and bassist in an all-original rock band.
