Whether it’s in project work, helping junior staff learn and flourish, or a well-written proposal that wins the contract, I aim to be the catalyst that creates something new or moves us to the next level.

Amy Sackaroff

Raleigh (Jones Franklin), North Carolina

A senior transportation planner with more than 17 years of experience, Amy develops sustainable solutions for complex transportation projects across the US southeast. She’s spent the majority of her career driving projects through the planning and preliminary design processes, and she’s responsible for interagency coordination and public outreach.

With an aptitude for transportation infrastructure development, Amy is currently managing a transportation project in the Appalachian Mountain region of North Carolina. The two-lane roads in this area are narrow, steep, and curve sharply. Residents are desperate a safe, reliable roadway in and out of their region, and Amy is very excited to be working there.

Outside of her regular duties, Amy volunteers as chair of the Capital Area Municipal Planning Organization’s (CAMPO’s) Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Committee, and she’s working with the Wake County Public School System to develop a regional SRTS program. She’s on the PTA Board at her children’s school where she’s also created a native plant pollinator garden, coordinating with teachers to raise the resident Monarch caterpillars.
