An environmental consulting expert with over 30 years of experience, Joe believes in saying yes to all types of work, that getting as much experience as you can on a variety of projects makes you a more agile consultant: more versatile, more well-rounded. Day to day, Joe provides solid consulting expertise to clients and manages a team of environmental scientists who do the same.
Recently, Joe and his team completed a large soil remediation project in Allston, Massachusetts, as part of a privately funded brownfield development. The project included the excavation of solvent and petroleum impacted soils associated with the historic use of the property—a dry cleaning facility. Approximately 1,700 tons of soil went to a hazardous waste landfill, and an additional 3,500 tons were used as daily cover and fill material at a local landfill.
The project also included the demolition of a series of abandoned buildings to make way for a new residential facility for local students and artists.
Outside of work, Joe has put his roots down on a once-working farm that was owned by his grandparents. He enjoys being outdoors and doing a little gardening or taking a classic vehicle for a ride to the beach.
