In managing a project, the how and when will be forgotten when the job is done. It is only the quality of the work that remains and will be remembered.

Farzin Shahid-Noorai

Markham, Ontario

Fluent in English, French, and Persian, Farzin holds a master’s degree in architecture and urban design. He has over 30 years of experience in project management, construction management, and project controls in both the public and private sectors. But what he loves about his job is working with a variety of people—from CEOs to site technicians—and seeing the satisfied smile on a client’s face, when the job is done.

Farzin has managed projects in a wide variety of sectors in his career: airports, industrial, mining, power transmission, commercial, and infrastructure. Recently, he worked on the Terminal 3 Expansion project at the Toronto Pearson Airport. The project revitalized the space, bringing it into the 21st century. The team’s aim? Treat passengers with far more care than in the last decades.

As a student of history, Farzin believes in the old quote by philosopher George Santayana “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” So, when Farzin isn’t at work, he’s reading about history and politics.
