Architecture isn’t just a profession, for Stephen, it’s a lifestyle—from blogging about vernacular architecture to mentoring young professionals. To help the Higher Education and Multi-Family Residential sector portfolios grow, Stephen manages projects, leads marketing efforts, and conducts business development in Chicago.
Stephen’s latest project was developing a masterplan for new buildings and site improvements at the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, Wisconsin. As a growing institution with an impressive collection of vintage steam engines, passenger cars and over 100,000 additional artifacts related to the history of railroads, it was important to consider not only the relics but the educational portion of the Museum’s mission as well.
Stephen juggles his passions for travel, drawing and painting with the needs of three active teenagers. He serves on a neighborhood buildings and grounds committee, who have provided stewardship for a 1930s-era Gothic Revival campus, and is an ACE Mentor Chicago program board member.
