Like any good storyteller, Craig sees the big picture—he knows the context and has the foresight of where the story is going. As a lead planner in the community development team, storytelling plays a big role on his projects. He uses stories from residents, clients, and governments to help tell how a project meets or exceeds their needs and dreams.
Craig weaves a story together using this context and best-planning practices, ensuring history is not forgotten and the future is certain. Whether it’s designing a new inner-city community from a 100-year-old Ford manufacturing plant or managing the development process of a new, high-density, mixed-use community rising from an old army base, Craig incorporates elements of the past with future land development to ensure a legacy is intact for the communities he works in.
Outside of work, Craig sits on the board of directors for the Urban Land Institute Alberta District Council and for Calgary Pride as director of government affairs, helping gather and tell the stories of the communities that he serves.
