Growing up, Tara was always curious about what made her city great. As a native Calgarian, she watched her mid-sized city of early years transform into what is now a thriving urban metropolitan centre. Her curiosity continued with her travels around the globe, questioning the differences in the urban realms that she visited. Eventually, these curiosities led her to a career in community development.
As senior planner, Tara develops communities across southern Alberta—a role she considers to be a privilege. Her genial personality makes her a good intermediary amongst diverse groups involved in planning, and she brings their voices to the table to find common ground. She further builds trust with clients through her timely delivery of services which make for dependable and long-lasting partnerships.
Tara is passionate about giving back and serves on the Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Calgary Board as Past President, and as the CREW Network Foundation Board as a Champion Director. In addition, Tara mentor’s members of the Alberta Professional Planners Institute who are working towards their accreditations.
