Douglas has over 39 years of experience in policy, development, and land use planning. He’s comfortable recommending approval, reviewing, and submitting planning act applications on behalf of both public and private clients. This planning experience also includes representing private clients and providing planning and management expertise for infill redevelopment—brownfield and greenfield.
As chair of the Land Development Committee for the Ontario Home Builders’ Association, Douglas is well-versed in Province policies, local public policies, regulations, and processes. He’s been recognized as an expert land use planner at the Ontario Municipal Board for both public and private projects.
A few years ago, Douglas dove into the global community by working on a humanitarian build in the Dominican Republic—he helped construct one of five houses for families in less than a week. When he’s at home, you’ll find him enjoying some early morning golf. It’s a passion instilled in him by his father, and by playing early, Douglas still gets to enjoy quality time with his family.
