Janice Suchan


Berkley, Michigan

Janice is an architect and LEED accredited professional who has dedicated her 20 year career to the management and development of award-winning higher education projects.

Janice was an essential part of the Mary Idema Pew Library Learning and Information Commons building project at Grand Valley State University. This project achieved LEED Platinum certification and is a model for innovative and collaborative learning environments.

She has also lead four College of Education projects including new facilities at Central Michigan University and Old Dominion University.

Outside of work, Janice enjoys time with her husband and two children. She enjoys photography, Detroit Tigers baseball, and has a passion for Lego. She was named the AIA Young Architect of the Year and was a recipient of Crain’s Detroit Business “40 Under 40” designation.
