Anyone can plant flowers along a sidewalk, but it takes expertise and passion to design a space that is both aesthetically appealing and sustainable. Kenny has this passion—it’s what drives him every day in designing Atlanta’s public landscapes. He’s contributed to many successful Atlanta projects including the Rottenwood Creek Trail Scoping Study, Arthur Langford Park, and Atlanta’s first cycle track—10th Street.
At Rottenwood Creek Trail, Kenny blended planning, design, and landscape architecture with graphic design and public involvement to find the perfect solution. The result was a space that the public endorsed because they’d been included. This beautiful and fully-functional trail showcases how crucial it is to combine various design specialties cohesively into a singular design goal. When you do, great things happen.
When Kenny isn’t in the office, he explores the hidden wonders around the city. He and his family enjoy hiking along the BeltLine and visiting local nature preserves—and don’t worry, he’s sure to bring his sketchpad, to capture the inspirational moments.
