Mike is a project manager experienced in stream restoration, natural channel design, fluvial geomorphology, and biotechnical streambank erosion control methods. He has managed numerous multi-objective-based stream restoration projects throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. A trained fluvial geomorphologist, he has 15 years of experience designing and implementing numerous biotechnical streambank erosion control projects and is an expert practitioner of soil bioengineering and other biotechnical erosion control methods.
Mike's interpersonal skills enable him to successfully manage several diverse stakeholder groups whose goals were based on prevention of private property loss through the design and implementation of comprehensive stream restoration projects. He has conducted assessments of more than 200 streamside sites within Contra Costa County and Alameda County.
