Randy runs and manages our ecosystem restoration team based in Fort Collins, Colorado. There, his primary focus is on the rehabilitation and restoration of stream and river systems in the Rocky Mountain region. Randy is a certified ecologist with the Ecological Society of America, and his main focuses are on riparian ecology, vegetation ecology, and stream restoration.
In collaboration with multiple partners, Randy and the Stantec R&D teams are examining the effects of riparian vegetation on the geomorphic forms and processes of river systems in Wyoming and Colorado. This novel research will yield significant insight into the effects of vegetation on channel dynamics and enable more effective restoration, revegetation, and rehabilitation of Rocky Mountain stream corridors.
A certified beer judge, Randy might be found judging beer competitions when he’s not out restoring ecosystems. He also spends his free time fly fishing, camping, cooking, and home brewing.
