As a senior project manager, Ken enjoys working with provincial and municipal governments to help make improvements for communities and the people who live in them. Ken’s work on the Upper Qu’Appelle project and his team’s expertise in stream restoration and natural channel design will allow them to effectively evaluate the use of the existing river channel. Ken says projects like this and the Wascana Creek Spring Runoff Study are particularly rewarding. “Providing recommendations for flood protection improvements for the City of Regina is extremely important, especially in light of recent flood events in Saskatchewan, High River, and the cities of Calgary and Toronto.”
Ken’s favourite Regina spot is the beautiful Wascana Lake and Park. He spends time there throughout the year, running, kayaking, picnicking, cross country skiing, and taking in the annual Canada Day fireworks. He is honoured to contribute to the health of the community he lives in.
