Rob is a nationally-recognized expert in learning space planning and design. His passions include sustainability and architecture for education, and he’s a frequent speaker at regional and national conferences. He is the former chair of the AIA Large-Firm Roundtable Sustainability Committee and is collaborating on healthy, high-performing schools across North America, including a number of net-zero energy and net-zero water projects.
Rob is a relentless advocate for meaningful learning experiences, a committed steward of natural resources, and a talented designer of well-crafted places for people. His work has been recognized with numerous awards for planning, design, architecture, urbanism, and sustainability.
Like many architects, Rob loves to sketch and paint, and if he isn’t playing soccer, camping, or skiing, he might be gardening or cooking. Rob also currently serves as the vice president of the Central Virginia AIA and volunteers with the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.
