As a principal scientist, Wayne focuses on assessing aquatic resources such as fisheries, wetlands, estuaries, rivers, and streams. He is responsible for building client relationships, listening to challenges, developing work scopes and plans, and providing expert service to achieve client objectives.
Wayne specializes in developing habitat designs that accommodate environmentally-sensitive areas and mitigate unavoidable impacts. With over 35 year of experience, his work can include endangered species act consultations, habitat assessment and management, permitting, and design development. Notable projects include dam removals, instream fill removals, solar project installations, and wetland mitigations.
An active presenter and guest speaker for several associations, Wayne has authored environmental impact statements, biological assessments, environmental assessments, biological opinions, and a host of supporting technical documents.
From the Sounders to the Seahawks, Wayne’s a sports fan of all things Seattle. He’s also a James Bond enthusiast, though he’s known to enjoy a chick flick with his bride, Kelly, his high school sweetheart from over 35 years ago. He always refers to her as his bride to keep his relationship with her as fresh as the day they were married!
