Kathy is a senior integrity engineer with more than 15 years spent in the Oil & Gas industry. She has a broad range of workplace experience as an integrity engineering consultant, pipeline and facility operator, materials and metallurgical engineering service provider, and research and development scientist.
Kathy’s developed a sound knowledge of pipeline integrity developments, fitness-for-service assessments, failure root cause investigations, and finite element analyses. Currently, she’s developing technical solutions for Imperial Oil Pipelines throughout Canada, working to establish new methodologies that resolve industry challenges and enhance her team’s technical capabilities in the field. Kathy has received several awards and published over 20 scientific papers and 100 technical reports.
With us since 2014, Kathy was recently selected to serve on the API 579 committee, an important organization that provides fitness-for-service assessment codes. She appreciates spending her evenings at the library, but she frequents Nose Hill Park in Calgary when it’s time for exercise, sunshine, and a little fresh air.
