Global firm set to transform cities by appointing Will Fooks to lead urban places in Australia

12/01/2021 Melbourne, Victoria

Global engineering and consulting firm Stantec has made a strategic appointment to grow its Urban Places practice. Will Fooks will expand our Australian market from a Melbourne base. He will work to transform the urban built environment across the region, and to expand the Firm’s multidisciplinary urban places planning, design and mobility.

Will is a city planner with over 20 years’ international experience across both private and public sectors, Will brings an established team across water, sustainability, buildings, community development, and transport. He plans to hone his experience in place-based strategy with infrastructure and master planning to grow this sector in Australia.

'This is further proof of our growth in these regions,' says José Grandado, Stantec’s Australian and New Zealand regional leader. 'It extends our expertise in the area, uniquely positioning us to be the multidisciplinary service provider of choice. Bringing our people together is key to growing our success and I’m confident we’ve got the right people working to make that happen'.
