Stacey Lloyd

Senior Principal Transportation Engineer

Photo of Stacey

Stacey’s passion for people-centric design lies in his everyday work—urban transportation projects throughout Aotearoa New Zealand. He puts himself in the shoes of those who live, work, and play in the places he designs to create the best possible outcomes.

What does Stacey bring to the table? A solid skillset in transport engineering, planning, and design, ranging from strategic access and movement planning to detailed traffic signal intersection design. Each project is developed through an urban design lens aimed at optimizing the function and appreciating the form.

Stacey’s involvement in transport choices and accessible streets projects, such as the Bromley CERF project for Christchurch City Council and Tauranga Cycleways, has seen him develop robust solutions that capitalize on the urban design principles of movement and place. Stacey also applies his knowledge of crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED) to projects, in which he was recently accredited through the International CPTED Association.

When he’s not working to create spaces where people can thrive, Stacey is an enthusiastic parent on the sidelines of his kids’ sports matches. You’ll also find him jamming on his bass ukelele to ska and reggae tunes.
