Meaghan Rivard

Senior Cultural Heritage Specialist

Photo of Meaghan

As the team lead for our Cultural Heritage group in Ontario, Meaghan specializes in understanding how humans have modified their environments and how today’s society interacts with our built history.

Meaghan has spent her career identifying, evaluating, and documenting heritage resources, and she’s focused on the assessment of proposed change and the preparation of options to mitigate negative impacts on heritage resources. She has experience managing all aspects of cultural heritage evaluation reports, heritage impact assessments, strategic conservation plans, and heritage conservation district studies and plans. Clients have said that Meaghan has “worked with us to protect true heritage attributes, while still allowing our sites to operate.”

Although she enjoys the diversity of her work, Meaghan has a soft spot for industrial and institutional sites. Sometimes it’s challenging to incorporate them into modern settings, but when it’s done right the results are the epitome of dynamic historical spaces. If she isn’t integrating crucial cultural touchstones, you might find Meaghan exploring Kilally Meadows with her family or catching a London Majors baseball game at Labatt Park, the oldest continually operating baseball grounds in the world.
