Our facilities planning and operations team helped Manitoba Blue Cross (MBC) develop a long-term real estate strategy. We began by benchmarking the insurance industry, and talking to MBC executives about their physical corporate brand, facility performance requirements, staff workplace standards, corporate sustainability policy, and accommodations for the physically disabled. We identified future real estate requirements, then worked alongside MBC’s commercial real estate broker to review, assess, and recommend an optimal facility own/lease strategy. We assisted MBC in developing their corporate furniture performance standards and provided furniture procurement, contract administration, and furniture installation services.
We also provided full architectural and interior design services for this two storey, 1960s building renewal, updating the building envelope and all building systems to meet and exceed sustainability and energy efficiency standards. Inside the building, our design scheme mixed elements of the building's original style with contemporary accents, resulting in a space that celebrates the client’s image and rich history, while providing flexibility for future growth.
